The Ugolino Golf Club is located in the Chianti region. It was originally designed in 1933 by the English architects Blandford and Gannon, and later enlarged in the 60s by the engineer Piero Mancinelli.
The golf course takes advantage of the natural characteristics of its location. The first nine holes offer a remarkable bustling game itinerary with impressive differences in level, while the remaining nine are on a more even ground, nonetheless rather demanding. In fact, the player will have to face differences in level and obstacles such as trees and small and very well defended greens.
The club house built in the 1930's, is today a perfectly restored national monument and a rare example of rationalist architecture. Many competitions and national championships have taken place here.
